Audiocom Electronics, Inc. is pleased to announce the formation of Pineapple Service as a new division. This new division is located at the Audiocom facility near Spokane, Washington.
The Pineapple Service business plan is to support and maintain products sold to the broadcast industry by Pineapple Technology, Inc (PTI.) over the pass twenty years. The owner of Audiocom, Gary Baker, has installed and serviced PTI products since the beginning of PTI, and is familiar with the product line in detail. Gary has also provided PTI with consulting services for product development.
Facilities are in place now to perform service on transmitters, power amplifiers, modulators, subassemblies, and to provide consulting as needed. Pineapple Service has purchased many spare parts from PTI for service to PTI customers in addition to support being provided by ex-employees of PTI through Pineapple Service.
While our current focus is service and support, new products are also being designed. New products will feature a lower cost and simpler operation. The industry has changed a lot over the past few years. Many transmitters are now obsolete because certain components are no longer available. In the event of a key component failure a station could be off the air for an extended period of time. In many cases the station may have to purchase a new transmitter. Pineapple Service is developing retrofit packages to bring those obsolete transmitters to life and avoid costly transmitter replacements. Tell us about your problem and we’ll do our best to fix it.
